The National Library of Scotland is one of Europe's major research libraries, with over 24 million items in their collections! They collect the recorded memory of Scotland, in print, film and audio which is kept forever and accessible to everyone.

To celebrate the Year of Young People 2018, the National Library of Scotland are asking you to leave your legacy in the national film archive by submitting a one minute film showing what Scotland means to you!

Your one minute film can be created as an individual, group, club, school or family. It can be made using a camera, phone or tablet and can cover any genre or theme.

Films must be submitted as a digital file by Monday 1st of October 2018. The winning films will be screened as part of the Scottish Youth Film Festival and preserved in the National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive to become a part of Scotland's stories for future generations!
