This activity finishes on 29 September 2017

The Scottish Government has introduced a Bill to the Scottish Parliament that proposes to ban the use of wild animals in travelling circuses in Scotland. You can find out more about this issue here.

The Scottish Parliament is currently considering the reasons why we need the Bill. Most of those reasons are about the ethical treatment of wild animals.

There is a concern that children and young people seeing wild animals in travelling circuses may have an impact on their development of respectful and responsible attitudes towards animals in general.

The Scottish Government is interested to know if this concern is felt by young people themselves. Complete the survey to share your views and collect 25 points.

The results from this survey will be provided to the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government Minister who introduced the Bill, Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, in time for the Stage 1 Parliamentary Debate on the Bill. This is when the Scottish Parliament decides whether they agree that there are good reasons why the Bill is needed.
